Seasonal Therapeutics - Spring Seminar Highlights

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

Even though its still snowing in New England, we are focused on the arrival of Spring. And with it, our  Spring Seasonal Therapeutics Seminar!

After an introduction by James Doherty, the day started with Dr Tieraona Low Dog speaking on Chronobiology: the connection between Spring and health. Next up was a look at how the digestive system is connected with inflammation and immune response.

Just before lunch, we delved deeper into inflammation in the body and its many different presentations. Elimination diets and anti inflammatory diets were discussed in great detail.

We broke for a wonderful lunch overlooking the Boston skyline.

With bellies full of colorful nutrition, we returned to the lecture hall. Dr Low Dog went through the evidence on the roll of dietary supplements used as anti-inflammatories and their role in reliving seasonal allergies.

We closed out the day everyone broke into small groups to look at case studies and review application of the education for the day. It was a wonderfully informative seminar! We can't wait to complete the first series with the summer session. Register now for Seasonal Therapeutics Summer Seminar by calling 800-634-6342.

Seasonal Therapeutics- Winter Seminar Highlights

Friday, November 30, 2012
0 Comments
What a wonderful seminar! Last weekend's Seasonal Therapeutics Seminar was a great success. And the team really enjoyed putting together the event for everyone. Here is a recap of the seminar and some photos!

The purpose of the seminar series is to blend cutting edge science and integrative medicine together with the changes of the seasons. The Winter seminar focuses on how to optimize immunity and support a healthy mood. The primary focus during this season which is filled with influenza and other viral illnesses, is how to support the body in maintaining its resiliency. The shorter days experienced in the winter can contribute to lower vitamin D exposure and seasonal affective disorder. Its important to protect against fluctuations in mood and energy.

The winter seminar series showed us how to use evidence-based, targeted nutritional supplementation, essential oils and botanical remedies to optimize cell-mediated immune function, enhance mental clarity, maintain healthy mood and energy, and ensure restful sleep. Ways to incorporate seasonal changes to the diet to enhance resilience were covered and stress management strategies like meditation, breathe work and rest were discussed.

Light and mood and the role of vitamin D was discussed in depth, as was nutrition for optimal mood and immune support. And the practitioners broke into small teams to execute some group work.

We continue to enjoy sponsoring this event and we are excited to learn even more at the next seminar in the series: Seasonal Therapeutics: Spring - The Season of Renewal. The seminar will be held on February 23 in Boston and will focus on Purification and Allergies! Register now, because space is limited!

The food and scenery has been fantastic at these events so far! Please enjoy some photos from the day!

New Hampshire Happenings!

Thursday, May 17, 2012
0 Comments
Greetings Everyone!

Lots of fun New Hampshire happenings to report!

Spring has finally fully sprung in the granite state. Its beautiful here and our staff has been enjoying hiking in the white mountains in their free time. Our offices are located in a small New Hampshire town, on a pleasant side street with walking trails. Its not uncommon for people to get together at lunch for a leisurely stroll in order to get the blood flowing, get out in the sunshine and make a little Vitamin D! We feel very blessed to be surrounded by all the natural beauty found right out the back door.

A big step was taken in the naturopathic world this week as it applies to New Hampshire residents. NHPR reports that the NH senate approved health insurance reimbursements for Naturopaths in a new bill, which passed with a 16-8 vote. This is wonderful news, which will make it much easier for local N.D.s to practice and thrive.

Innate Response also hosted a tour group today at our manufacturing facility. Richard Lafond, our Vice President of Operations, gave a detailed overview of our raw materials process. We test incoming raw materials for allergens, herbicides and pesticides, as well as comprehensive organoleptic testing in our state of the art laboratory. Here, Richard discusses our testing practices and showcases our lab equipment, explaining the technical side of ensuring the proper nutrition is in each tablet.

After answering practitioner questions at the lab, the tour stopped into our manufacturing facility. Today, calcium was on the low-temp dryer! Innate tours allow you to observe our production process from soup to nuts and to answer any and all questions you may have. We feel transparency is important in this day and age and we are proud of the products that we make.

Angie, our Sales Coordinator, recently started a great twitter feed that gives updates on Innate workshops, dinners, tours and events. Follow her to stay up to date. And if you're ever in the great state of New Hampshire, or the Boston are in general, make sure to get in contact with her so you can experience the tour yourself!

Speaking of events, we are planning our most exciting event to date in Boston this summer. Innate Response Formulas has partnered with Dr Andrew Weil to bring you our Seasonal Therapeutics Seminar Series. Click here for more information on the seminar and click here to register. Please keep in mind that space is very limited!

Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming new product releases. Lots of exciting things are on the horizon!
