Seasonal Therapeutics is the first program of its kind in the integrative health care industry, blending cutting edge science and integrative medicine together with the need of the changing seasons. Seasonal Therapeutics will provide you an evidence-based, nature-oriented approach, using diet, nutrients and herbs in combination with mind/body therapies.

This seasonal approach will shift the patient care paradigm from one "annual visit" to multiple "seasonal visits", wherein you will have the opportunity to see your patient's more and apply the Seasonal Therapeutics concepts, empowering your patients to thrive throughout the year.

Each season is covered in-depth during a one day live event. These full day live events delve into clinical considerations applicable to the season and outlines an integrative approach that can be easily implemented into your practice. 8 CEU credits are available for DC's and ND's for this live event.

What to learn more about...

  • Implementing seasonal strategies in your practice?
  • What you will experience and learn at a one day event?
  • How you and your patients can experience a Happy, Healthy Winter?

Folate Versus Folic Acid

At Innate Response, we pride ourselves first and foremost, on our products. We work with local farms and we start our process with quality fruits, vegetables and herbs. And we utilize our amazing low temperature dryer to maintain the integrity of the nutrients. Our finished product delivers a whole food-based source of nutrition for you and your patients.

Making our Foodstate Folate starts with whole broccoli.

Its hard to quantify the vast benefits of utilizing whole food-based nutrition

Check out this great blog post by Chris Kresser. He gets down into the nitty-gritty scientific details on the difference between Folic Acid and Folate.

"Despite the risks associated with high levels of folic acid intake, it is well established that adequate folate intake from the consumption of folate-rich foods is essential for health. Folate aids the complete development of red blood cells, reduces levels of homocysteine in the blood, and supports nervous system function. It is well known for its role in preventing neural tube defects in newborns, so women of childbearing age must be sure to have an adequate intake prior to and during pregnancy.
Excellent sources of dietary folate include vegetables such as romaine lettuce, spinach, asparagus, turnip greens, mustard greens, parsley, collard greens, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, and lentils. Not surprisingly, some of the best food sources of folate are calf’s liver and chicken liver." Innate Response Baby & Me Trimester I & II provides 800mcg of Folate, which is 100% of the recommended for pregnant and lactating women. Try it and let us know what you think!

Its Fall in New Hampshire!

Tuesday, October 9, 2012

We have been organizing lots of company hikes and walks up here in Derry, NH and the surrounding areas. Our offices and manufacturing facility are located up in the great state of New Hampshire and at this time of year, all the leaves change color.  It makes for an amazing backdrop for outdoor activities.

Its so important for good health to take a minute and slow down to enjoy the beauty around us. We thought we would share these beautiful images of our local area with you. We love being close to nature while we work.

We dug up a NH Fall Foliage Drive Guide that outlines fabulous fall drives all over the state. If you make your way up to our neck of the woods, don't forget to stop in and say hi!

Fraudulent Pharma Behavior - How Much Is Too Much?

Thursday, October 4, 2012
0 Comments

Check out this just-released TED TALK from the TEDMED 2012 series. Ben Goldacre reveals that many MDs, no matter how well intentioned, aren't able to truly know the dangerous facts about the medications that they prescribe. Turns out pharma companies regularly only publish positive data on their meds and "hide" data that was negative. This has cost people their lives, yet they aren't often held responsible for these lives. He calls for transparency and honesty in the human clinical trial field.

This talk has been posted on the heels of the $3 BILLION GSK fraud scandal, where the company admitted to, among other things, failing to report safety data about a top diabetes drug. Also this year, Abbott Labs settled for $1.6 billion and Johnson and Johnson for $2 billion for similar misconducts.

What does this teach the pharma companies about withholding safety information? It might appear that they can pay their way out of the liability for endangering the public. Is forking over money enough of a punishment in your opinion? What would it take to send some of these folks to jail? We would like to hear what you think in the comments.
